—
Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of
industry-specific enterprise software solutions for midmarket companies,
today announced its Epicor iScala 2.2 solution continues to be adopted
by a wide range of companies around the globe. Epicor also announced
new enhancements and expanded product functionality to meet both new and
emerging customer requirements. A powerful collaborative enterprise resource planning (ERP)
system designed from the ground up to provide complete business
management capabilities, Epicor iScala 2.2 has been selected by leading
global companies such as Grand Hotel Marriott Moscow, Ilim Pulp
Corporation, Arabi Enertech K.S.C., Packard Electric Systems/Samara
Cable Company, Cavotec, and Spühl AG. Established in 1877, Spühl AG is a machine-building company
based in the east of Switzerland. In 1998, it began a major project to
re-engineer its business processes and make it more profitable. To
support the new business processes, Spühl AG evaluated a new ERP and
manufacturing software solution. Six years after the initial project,
Spühl has now completed its migration to the latest version of iScala
and is using the new visual manufacturing tools to support their lean
and agile business vision. By deploying this integrated solution,
Spühl has far exceeded its original targets achieving a 30% productivity
gain combined with the ability to deliver ordered goods to customers 50%
faster while reducing manufacturing operating costs by 30%. Another customer leveraging iScala 2.2 is Cavotec Group, a
global provider and world leader in the design and manufacture of
innovative mobile power supply solutions. With seven manufacturing
companies located in Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy and
Sweden, and 24 sales and service companies, the Cavotec Group serves
more than 30 countries on five continents. "Epicor has greatly improved our business processes at
Cavotec," said Leena Essén, Group Financial Director at Cavotec. “The
move to iScala 2.2 is helping us consolidate and refine our business
processes for the benefit of our localized operations and customers.”
New and Enhanced Product Functionality Responding to customer requirements and reaffirming its
commitment to enhancing and expanding product functionality, Epicor
recently introduced new capabilities for its Epicor iScala 2.2 solution. New features include requisition management capabilities to
support stock requisitions, managing the entire process through to
approval and fulfillment. New central warehousing functionality allows
sales offices to view local and central warehouses to assess inventory
situations, such as on-hand inventory balances, known inventory plans
and available to promise status. This enables companies to focus on
fulfilling customer requirements while reducing inventory. New security
protocols around journal capabilities have been added for improved audit
trails to addressing corporate governance requirements. Additionally,
Epicor iScala 2.2 features a new Bill of Materials configurator and
supply chain enhancements such as stock allocation, stock valuation by
item or by warehouse modules. Integration of service information to iScala CRM enables
customers to view service information as well as sales and quotations.
Additionally functional enhancements have been added to the iScala
Service Management, Contract Management and Asset Management modules. New features to address the hospitality industry have also
been added, as well as expanded support for the pharmaceutical and
industrial markets. Enhancing Epicor iScala’s global support, new
localization features have been added to address the local legal and
fiscal needs for the vast majority of South American countries.
Additionally, localization enhancements have been added for Germany,
Austria, Sweden, Russia and Thailand. “For more than 20 years, Epicor
Scala customers have come to expect valuable enhancements and expanded
product functionality on a regular basis,” said Steve Humble, senior
director of product marketing for Epicor iScala solutions. “The new
Epicor iScala 2.2 features offer improved configurability and
functionality to help our customers achieve operational efficiency and
become market leaders.” |
